Consumers as Branding Partners

At the core, we at BackBeat Media sell ads for the online publications and podcasts we represent. One of the biggest challenges we routinely face when working with with advertisers is the value — and purpose — of tracking the click.

iMedia Conection published an article by Scott Medrum of HypeCouncil entitled, “Make the click worth their time” today that is absolutely fantastic. In it, Scott shows examples of good and bad banner design, and talks about including the “consumers as branding partners” throughout the experience.

Definitely worth a read — just be careful to scroll down on page 2 of the article. The “bad banner” examples he uses are *so* bad that you might think the article is over and ignore everything below them!

Go ahead… click. This one’s *definitely* worth your time!

Hi nice post, i have come across your site once before when searching for something so i was just wondering something. I love your theme, would it happen to be a free one i can download, or is it a custom one you had made? In a few weeks i will be launching my own site, i’m not great with designs but i really like the style of your site so it would be cool if i could find (or pay for) something with a similar look. 🙂 Thanks!
