		<description>I wouldn&#039;t really call that the Scotty Principle in this case. You see, Scotty provided an exclusive service and delivered a product that Kirk could not obtain anywhere else. If Scotty said it would take 24 hours to fix the warp drive, Kirk couldn&#039;t just call up Engineers-R-Us and demand an engineer that could do it faster. There was nobody else on that ship that could even deliver the product that Scotty delivered, much less when Kirk wanted it delivered. In your case, you could have gone elsewhere for the product you were seeking. Not so in Kirk&#039;s case. Therefore, in order to truly be called the Scotty Principle and not just under promise and over deliver, there must be some exclusivity of product or expertise of service. You have to have them &quot;by the balls&quot; so to speak.</description>
