Apple yesterday demo'd a version of iTunes that has some built-in Podcasting features. The interesting part, and the part I hope we're misinterpreting, is that "Podcasts developers will be given the opportunity to submit their broadcasts to Apple for consideration and that the company will pick a seleected list to add to the iTunes software list." Everyone seems to be interepreting this to mean that iTunes will *only* be able to subscribe to Apple-approved Podcasts. I think they're wrong. I hope so. My guess is that while it will come bundled with Apple-approved podcasts (much like Safari comes bundled with Apple-approved Bookmarks), users will have the ability to customize that list to their heart's content.
